My Approach
Authenticity is the key factor in my relational style, and in my effectiveness as a therapist. I believe in the power of relationship and in meeting each client where they are in order to co-create a safe space for the work to begin. Using plain language, I can provide education to demystify mental health problems and I work with each client to fully understand the reasons they are coming to therapy. From there, we will begin to clarify what are the "goals" or desired gains from therapy.

As an artistic and creative person, I am inspired by an eclectic mix of therapeutic frames, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I am also keenly interested in Animal-Assisted therapy and in adjunctive use of other healing avenues, such as yoga, massage, and nature-based mindfulness.
